Ms. Kupperman is recognized for her expertise and experience with children with hyperlexia and autism spectrum disorders. She has presented numerous workshops and seminars to professional and school groups including several state and national conferences for the Autism Society of America, the American and Canadian Speech-Language-Hearing Associations, schools and universities. She has coordinated over 20 conferences on the Language Disordered Child.

Ms. Kupperman has published articles in journals and newsletters and has produced videos and publications for distribution through CSLD, addressing such topics as autism, hyperlexia, social communication, language disorders, and articulation and phonological disorders. She is also the author of The Source® for Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorders, The Reading Comprehension Kit for Hyperlexia and Autism, and The Source® for Social Competency now published by PRO-ED.

In 1964, she received her Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Kupperman has been a faculty member at Elmhurst College and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has worked in several public and private schools. She developed family-centered speech and language therapy programs for many children at CSLD and now provides evaluations and family training for parents and children who travel to CSLD from throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. She has enjoyed joining the children and their families on their journeys from early childhood through adulthood and is grateful for all they have taught her along the way.
